New! Special Operation Arrangements

In view of the local pandemic situation and the high transmissibility of the Omicron variant, and in response to Government's appeal to minimize gathering for work and for leisure, University management has decided that beginning from Monday, 24 January 2022, and up to the Chinese New Year holidays, staff will work from home, except for those who need to maintain essential campus operations, such as security, safety and essential maintenance.

Department/Unit heads should use discretion to make special arrangements and exercise flexibility in work arrangements such as adopting staggered work hours and lunch breaks, and roster arrangement if necessary.

Physical Barrier

Walls, partitions and glass panels are all physical barrier that can prevent spread of droplets. In cases where distance between may not be adequate, physical barriers should be taken into consideration. Two office tables facing each other with a partition in between would provide an adequate social distance. Plastic or glass panels should be set up between front desk staff and visitors to offices.
