New! Special Operation Arrangements
In view of the local pandemic situation and the high transmissibility of the Omicron variant, and in response to Government's appeal to minimize gathering for work and for leisure, University management has decided that beginning from Monday, 24 January 2022, and up to the Chinese New Year holidays, staff will work from home, except for those who need to maintain essential campus operations, such as security, safety and essential maintenance.
Department/Unit heads should use discretion to make special arrangements and exercise flexibility in work arrangements such as adopting staggered work hours and lunch breaks, and roster arrangement if necessary.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES IN OFFICE ENVIRONMENT
Department Heads and Directors should review the seating plans of their offices to enable a face-to-back setting and maintain a distance of 1.5 meter between seats.
Walls, partitions and glass panels are all physical barrier that can prevent spread of droplets. In cases where distance between may not be adequate, physical barriers should be taken into consideration. Two office tables facing each other with a partition in between would provide an adequate social distance. Plastic or glass panels should be set up between front desk staff and visitors to offices.
Social Distancing and Personal Hygiene
Staff must wear a face mask in common areas, and when interacting with others in an office environment. Everyone should wash his/her hands frequently.
Everyone should also check body temperature at least once a day using an infra-red thermometer or at one of the Fever Self-checking Stations on campus. People with a fever or respiratory symptoms should seek medical assistance at once, and are not allowed to work in offices until they are fully recovered or tested negative for COVID-19.
Application of GERMAGIC Antimicrobial Coating
The Campus Management Office (CMO) has applied GERMAGIC antimicrobial coating periodically to Faculty Offices and Administration Offices.
